Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

This is a simple pre season reminder to help you play your best golf this year! This would also be perfect for new golfers taking up the game 🙌

Not just new golfers. I was pushing my shots all over the place last time on the range. I watched your video and next visit to range everything was fixed. Nice tips, especially the lines on the grips. Never noticed them before. Keep the good work up Rick. Great channel.

I’m new to playing golf and been taking some great tips from your page the last week or so, as for this video I have a question. I’m a right handed person and take my stance according, but I grip with the right hand first at the top. Is that so bad or is it OK to continue like that? I should also note that I eat with my fork in the right hand as well, so that feels natural for me to golf that way. 🤔

Are you going to revise this after Nick Faldo told you your grip is wrong? Asking for a friend.

Just. took a lesson today. Been a golfer for over 45 years but have been struggling with lots of pulls and fat shots – especially with irons. Essentially, this is what my lesson was about. My grip was too strong. After neutralizing the grip I had to learn to turn both my hips AND shoulders on the downswing. Ball started flying straight with a higher trajectory. Obviously will need practice but the game was getting frustrating and hopefully I’m now on the right path.

I learned how to smash the ball with a consistent fade with a weak grip for so long. I just switched to strong grip and I’m going 20 to 50 yards extra. Consistency and straight shots out the window for distance. It’s worth it. I’m still gonna keep my week grip for wedges and irons. Finally learning how to Nutt my 3 wood 250 with no fade feels awesome tho.
