Should You Consider A Campervan Staycation This Year?

Who said a vacation had to be spent in a foreign country? In this day and age, we are so quick to think that going on holiday means leaving our beautiful country and travelling to another. Nowadays, a large number of young people have travelled more abroad than they have in their home country. There is so much to see and do in this country, and a staycation is an excellent way to do this.

A staycation in this country also allows you to avoid the uncertainty and chance of cancellation associated with a trip abroad. Being in control of your destination and remaining within its limits prevents you from encountering visa problems or health hazards. You do not have to think about the implications of Brexit or Covid; all you have to do is pick a place and rent a campervan or consider a Camper van shared ownership to get there.

Why should you consider a staycation?

Staycations are generally less expensive than international travel. Flights are becoming increasingly expensive these days, so at least a third of your vacation expenses will be spent merely getting to your destination. The money that you would have spent on flights might be put towards something else that will allow you to enjoy your trip more fully.

They have a reputation for being more environmentally friendly,  As previously said, a staycation does not typically entail long-distance travelling, which helps you lower your carbon footprint significantly. Alternatives include travelling by campervan, vehicle, or rail, which allows you to take advantage of the joys of unhurried travel. The rest of your trip is usually not too environmentally detrimental, making a staycation the most environmentally friendly mode of travel.

Staycations are a great way to alleviate your stress. Travelling overseas, particularly in the aftermath of Brexit and Covid, can be a difficult task. So spare yourself the hours of study and opt to visit within your own nation rather than abroad. When making a purchase, you will not have to worry about exchanging pounds for another currency or constantly calculating the cost of the item. You will not have to worry about learning a new language. You will not be required to drive on the opposite side of the road overnight.

You are free to take whatever you want. Because you are not flying, you will not be restricted in terms of luggage and will not be frantically weighing your bags hours before you are scheduled to travel.

A staycation is a good way to help the local economy. When the Covid crisis hit, many sectors suffered severe setbacks and are still attempting to recover. Travelling locally can help you do your part to support them.

You will not feel obligated to travel such a long distance to get there. Whenever we book a trip and pay for an expensive vacation overseas, we feel the need to go for an extended period of time to make the expense seem worthwhile. However, when staying in the UK, you can take more frequent but shorter getaways to make the most of your annual leave.
