My Birthday, Breakfast, Lego, Burgers and Family – Part 2

So Lego was done, we were all starving having walked and exerted a lot of energy playing and catching Dottie. Having put the call out there to some of my dad mates in the Dad Network, we manage to get around 15 of us, partners and children. I’m known for being able to pick a good eatery and this time was no different. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that we’ve been to The Sinners Club in Burscough a number of times before and we’re very picky especially when recommending. But having a great group of North West based friends, with children, after finding out they would be more than happy to cater for us, couldn’t think of anywhere better. I think anywhere that has Gil Elvgren all over the toilet walls is definitely a winner with me and the Mrs anyway! We had some amazing burgers, I think mine was called the Doomsday Burger and after eating it, I felt like my world had ended in a great way! The burgers tasted so fresh you just know they were made 10 minutes before. But any birthday meal isn’t complete without cake! Look at the size of that beast! A peanut butter cheesecake that I’d just loved and would never ever find something so perfect to go with the serious meat feast again. Dororthy approved and actually so did all the little ones. Ranging from 4 months to 2 1/2 years, those that could eat had something available for them. Tatertots seemed to be the number 1 choice but there was hot dogs and mac and cheese a plenty. A special mention must go out to Tim and the quality craft ales & cider available. It’s always nice to be able to enjoy a great pint with good food and this was just as expected. Special! As you can see here, Tim loved his cider so much that he decided he wanted to also wear it. It’s always great to spend time with my family and with Beth having a better social life than us, seeing her relish the conversations and banter was amazing. I’m a proper family man and to also have my friends to with their families is even better. So thanks for all my friends for joining us in having a great time enjoying beautiful food. It’s amazing that we didn’t get one group shot. I consider this a good thing that we were so busy laughing we didn’t have time.]]>
