Protecting Your Child's Future with Football

Ahh, football. The beautiful game. Some may not like it, but for those who do, it’s a way of life. Football is a sport that makes you feel like part of a bigger picture. Supporting your team, going to games, singing songs; the atmosphere is always incredible. Playing football can be just as good too. In fact, football can be one of the best sports not only for you to play, but for your kids. Whether you have sons or daughters it doesn’t matter; the beautiful game is one of the best sports for your kids. Here’s why! The Obvious Health Benefits There are obvious health benefits to encouraging your kids to play football. They’ll get used to moving while they’re young, so they see exercise as something fun rather than a chore. They’ll be healthier than kids that simply sit around and watch TV all day. They should have increased energy in their everyday lives thanks to their regular exercise, as well as greater focus, which could be a big help for them in school! Give Them A Hobby They Love For Life When you introduce your kids to football, you could very well be giving them a hobby that they love for life. Football isn’t just something you stop loving; once you’re hooked, you’re hooked for life! Your kids will love collecting football playing cards and stickers, reading up on funny football news (when they’re old enough), and even displaying those football bobbleheads in their room. Discipline Football teaches discipline to kids. There are rules that must be adhered to, and practice must be attended so that they become the best they can be. When they discipline themselves during football, they will discipline themselves in other areas too. They’ll likely make their beds, tidy up after themselves, and help you out with the chores much more readily! Teamwork Learning how to work in a team from a young age is a great thing. They’ll need to be able to do this all throughout their school life, and perhaps in their working lives too. When they can be a valued member of a team, they’ll get far more opportunities. Camaraderie and Making Friends Football will help your kids improve their social skills, as they socialise with not only their peers, but their coaches and referees too. They’ll have a great sense of camaraderie and many children who play football together make friends for life. Self Confidence When your kids are doing something they love with friends, they will build self confidence. They’ll get this sense of belonging, and develop other great skills which will make them feel good about themselves. They’ll develop even more confidence when their team experiences success too! Remember, it’s a good idea to let your kids try out the sports that they want to try. They might not stick with some, but they’re bound to find one that they love. For all you know, that might just be football! Will you introduce your kids to the beautiful game? Leave your thoughts below!  ]]>
