At the moment, it might feel like summer is years away. Stuck inside or in your garden as the virus is taking over, you may see summer as a myth. But whilst you stay at home with your family, it’s the perfect time to plan some adventures for the upcoming months. It’s still a little time until summer is here, so it’s good to think positively.

Adrenaline-fuelled activities are the ultimate way to celebrate being outside again and taking full advantage of the nature surrounding you. A day unlike any other, these experiences will create memories that last a lifetime. Of course, whatever activity you choose it’s up to you. But to give you some initial inspiration, here are five suggestions:

  1. Go Bungee Jumping

Have you always wanted to go bungee jumping but have never bitten the bullet and organised it? Well now could be the time to think about it more seriously! Bungee jumping is one of the most action-packed activities that you can take part in and can be done from a variety of locations, whether it’s off a crane, a building or over a dam.

  1. Skydiving

If you want to ramp it up to the next level then why not consider skydiving? A great opportunity to raise money for charity or just enjoy a fun day out, it will be unlike any experience you’ve ever had before. An exciting activity to do alone or with friends, you’ll get a unique view of the world from up to 18,000 feet in the air!

Even though this is perhaps the most terrifying activity on this list, it’s guaranteed to give you a thrill that will definitely take your breath away. If you don’t want to do it outside, then there is of course, the option to do indoor skydiving instead.

  1. White Water Rafting

If you’re looking for something a little closer to earth, then maybe white water rafting is just the ticket. Giving you the chance to venture down rapids, it’s a recreational outdoor activity that requires teamwork.

Alternatively, you could try kayaking. A more family-friendly activity to be enjoyed in the summer months, you can kayak almost anywhere around this country and internationally. Just make sure that you have the correct equipment and you use online resources when choosing the right paddles for your kayak (if you are considering purchasing your own), clothing, etc.

  1. Visit an Adventure Park

Another family-friendly activity to enjoy this summer is a trip to an adventure park. With so many scattered around the country (for example, Go Ape), you’ll be able to find one with activities that you’ll all enjoy – whether you’re interested in climbing rock walls, going on the high ropes or zip-lining.

  1. Parasailing

Alternatively, you could head out into the water and enjoy this exhilarating activity. Although this is commonly done abroad, there are centres in this country offering it – for prices that won’t break the bank.

Giving you a wonderful view of the coast, it’s fun to do either with your partner, friends, kids or solo – depending on how brave you’re feeling!
