Jewelry For Men

Jewelry can be an excellent gift for the man in your life, whether it’s to celebrate a special occasion or just because you want to make your mark on his sense of fashion. They’re the best accessories for maintaining their value and can add a little depth and status to any outfit. However, jewelry for men comes with connotations much different than women tend to face. If you want to make sure you’re not stepping on any toes, here are a few tips you want to follow.

A little wrist bling

Bracelets might be the first thing you think of when it comes to accessorizing with some jewelry and, indeed, bracelets have long been popular in men’s fashion as well. There are both casual and formal bracelets that can add the extra depth that a relatively plain outfit might be sorely lacking. Solid metal and chain bracelets tend to be amongst the most popular, and for a more casual look, they can be well paired with fabric woven styles.

Make time for watches

Of course, when you’re talking accessories for men, there are few more traditional than the watch. Often considered a piece of jewelry, a watch can convey a lot of different things. It can convey a sense of responsibility and purpose, given their practicality, but they’re often used to represent status and wealth, as well. For that reason, you might want to take a look at the different kinds of watches that you can add to your man’s arsenal, making sure that he’s as well equipped for the casual day out as he is for the office meeting.

Rocking the neckwear

Men’s necklaces have always been a popular choice in fashion. They’re often most recommended for the kind of casual guy who is more rugged in his fashion sensibilities and, for men who like that look, simple gold chains can be perfect for doing the trick. However, there are plenty of guys who like pendants as well, but you typically want to keep them on the subtle side. Men’s fashion is still averse to being in the gaudier or more elaborate style, so the necklace should keep that in mind.

A fistful of rings

Just like the classic chain, rings have always been a part of men’s fashion as well. Compared to other pieces of jewelry, rings can get a little more elaborate and stylistic for men though gems tend to be on the understated side if they’re incorporated at all. Think of the kind of imagery that would suit your man’s style, whether it’s the prestige of a lion carving or the rugged charm of a skull ring. Of course, there are rings with meaning that you can look at as well, such as a Claddagh ring to symbolize your relationship.

The boundaries of what jewelry for men is widely appropriate are starting to change and, if the man in your life is up for it, you can be a little more experimental than mentioned here. Just make sure he’s into it, first and foremost.
