Now, there’s no denying that there’s no catch all approach to men’s fashion. Every single man should aim to break out from the crowd and carve out their own style. That being said, there are a few absolutely essential items every man needs to have in their wardrobe if they’re going to be taken seriously as a fashion conscious male. If you read through the following and realise you don’t have any of them, then it’s time to get the wallet out….

All in the Shoes

When it comes to dressing well, forget what you’re wearing at eye level for a moment: dressing well begins at the bottom. Have your shoes (and bottoms) taken care of and you’ll already be well on your way to looking good. In your wardrobe, you should have at least three different types of footwear: smart shoes, boots, and casual trainers. That’s before we talk about anything you might wear for work (never mix business with pleasure when it comes to shoes!).

Those Killer Jackets

Invest in a quality jacket that fits you just right and you’ll be wearing it for years to come. A jacket and coat becomes part of you, part of your identity. You wear it everyday but only when you’re outside! It’s a pretty big deal. And your wardrobe, thus, needs to be well represented. If you’re lacking in this department, take a look at http://www.designerskins.co.uk and invest in the staple of masculine outerwear, a leather jacket. If you find the one that fits your style well, you’ll be making an investment that gives again and again over the years. Elsewhere, a proper winter overcoat that can be worn on all occasions is as practical as it is fashionable.

Big Jumpers, Nice T-shirt

You don’t want to have to think about what you’re wearing all the time. Sometimes, you just want to throw on what’s nearest and take a drive to the shop to pick up a few items. That doesn’t give you an excuse to dress like a slob, though, oh no – it just means that your easy to throw on clothes should be high quality. Invest in a quality wool jumper that’s big and warm and you’ll have a go to item. And t-shirts? High quality, no logos. Logo fashions come and go all the time, a classic plain design will stand the test of time!

Socks and Boxers

It is unforgivable to be dressed well only to be wearing tattered old socks and underwear underneath it all. You need to be on top of your socks and underwear situation. Sign of a hole? Out it goes.

More than One Suit

You should have that one suit that is absolutely you in style and size, the one you can pull on at any time and look like a star – though see https://theidleman.com/manual/advice/how-to-wear-a-suit/ if you don’t. In any case, it’s always a good idea to have more than one suit in the locker. You never know when you might need to attend two suited events on consecutive weekends, and nothing will ruin your image than wearing the same old suit over and over.]]>
