Being a dad is a difficult role for anyone. You sit in a weird position between mum and the kids. And, it can be hard to know where you’re going right and wrong. Of course, both mum and dad have it hard; there’s no denying that. However good you are as a father, there’s usually room for improvement. So, to help you it, this post will be going through three of the biggest areas that dad’s tend to slip up on. And, some of the ways that you can work to fix them. It may feel difficult now; but, this will have great benefits in the future. When you children are young, they will always crave your attention. To them, you are one of the most wondrous and awe-inspiring creatures in the world. You have a vast knowledge of everything and unbridled strength, in their eyes. And, this means that you have to work hard to keep them impressed. Over time, they will realise that you are just a normal person. So, before this happens, you have to make the most of their dependence. The time that you spend with your kids should be unique. You should take them to places that mum doesn’t ever show them. And, it should be as unique as possible. You have an excellent chance to build some great memories with your kids; but, at least half of this time should be spent as a whole family. So, remember to keep mum included. Traditionally, the man of the house would be the breadwinner in the family. Of course, this is a complete arbitrary gender role; and, one that is slowly dissolving. Nowadays, there’s more of a chance that the finances will be much more even within the household. So, this stage will have to be a joint effort between you and mum. The best parents out there think about their kid’s future. And, this extends well into their life. You should be thinking about how you can make their life easier long after they’ve left home. One of the best ways to do this is with savings. Having an account that’s got enough for a deposit on a house or a car will give you kid some much-needed independence in future. Websites like http://mybanktracker.com Not a lot of kids get this sort of benefit. When you take on the responsibility of being a parent, you take on many roles. One of the largest roles you have to undertake is as a teacher. Your child will spend their first few years learning from you. So, you have to make sure that you are a model of what you want them to be. If you don’t want your child to be angry in later life; you need to be calm with them. Or, if you want to instill a good work ethic; you have to demonstrate what it means to work hard. A website like http://www.unfinishedman.com have loads of resources to help you out here. There’s nothing wrong with seeking help and advice through this process. In fact, it shows that you want to be the best possible dad. Hopefully, this post will give you a good idea of what has to be done if you want to start being a better dad. You only get so many years with your kids. So, it’s critical that you make the very best possible use of the time. Otherwise, you will regret it in the future.]]>
