While a lot of people go travelling to get some time to relax, other people like to spend their holiday taking part in their favourite hobby. That is why so many people opt to do things like golfing, skiing, and even fishing during their week break. In fact, thousands of people go on a fishing break every year to ensure they have a wonderful holiday. And rather than having to head abroad to do some fishing, there are some places a little closer to home. In fact, here are some fish-tastic places in the UK that will leave you hooked if you go for your holidays.   Cornwall Everyone should head to the beautiful county of Cornwall at least once in their life. With its beautiful beaches, great coastal towns, and picturesque villages, it’s often a top choice for UK travelers and beyond. And it’s no surprise that the towns are used as the locations for many a TV programme including Poldark and Doc Martin! But as well as being famous for its views, it’s also a perfect place to do some fishing during your holiday. After all, there are several quaint fishing villages which are perfect to get you hooked. For one thing, you could always head to Port Isaac to do a spot of fishing. With a beautiful harbor, it offers you a wealth of opportunity to do some fishing. And the picturesque village of Polperro is also fantastic to try a spot of fishing with friends. In fact, you will be surrounded by fishermen a plenty if you go to these harbour during your travels.   Devon Often named one of the most picturesque areas of England, Devon is a beautiful place to visit for individuals and families alike. And alongside the cliffs and great beaches, there are some fishing villages which are rather special. You could go to the small village of Beer which is located near Lyme Bay and is perfect for fishing. Or you could even go to the town of Dartmouth which is known for it’s fishing on the river dart. And you might be surprised to know there are even some specific fishing hotels. For example, you can stay in the Arundell Arms in Dartmoor which has its own lake with lots of opportunities for fly fishing! And if you need to top up your skills if you are wondering what is fly fishing, the hotel boasts its own fishing school so you can learn more. And then you will soon be catching your own trout before long!     Thousands of people from around the world head to the Lake District in Cumbria every year. After all, it’s a picturesque destination with its gorgeous lakes and mountains. And it’s an ideal place to rent a stunning cottage or log cabin. But it’s also ideal to go to do some fishing. After all, the lakes and rivers offer a wealth of fish to make a great catch. One place you should go to do some swimming is Windermere. You will find amazing fish like brown trout, pike, and perch located here. And if you need to enhance your fishing supplies, you can find a wealth of outdoor shops in Kendal and Ambleside.   And remember to get some good photos of your catches to keep as memories from your trip.]]>
